ABOUT US
Free Mom Hugs Canada is a Canadian organization. We are a federally incorporated, not-for-profit, comprised of parents, friends, allies and 2SLGBTQIA+ members, who offer unconditional love and support to 2SLGBTQIA+ communities all across Canada. Although inspired by our Southern neighbours, Free Mom Hugs Canada.ca is in no way affiliated with Free Mom Hugs.org, which runs out of the United States of America. While operating independently, we work towards a shared goal: to offer unconditional love and support to our 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. The more organizations there are, with like minded missions, the better equipped our society becomes to provide the necessary support and acceptance for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals.
We are not just Moms. We welcome Dads, Siblings, Aunts, Friends and anyone who supports the community. Although our summer months are especially busy hugging and travelling to many Pride celebrations, we continue to advocate for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community throughout the year.
- We attend various local events, often invited by the community such as Drag Queen brunches, storytimes, film screenings and we also offer peaceful support at protests.
- We host events and provide support to communities looking to participate in their areas.
