Celebrating Pride 2024

Celebrating Pride Across Ontario: A Look at the 2024 Pride Season 🏳️‍🌈

During the 2024 Pride season, our team and incredible community of volunteers had the joy of attending Pride events in Haldimand/Norfolk, Binbrook, Niagara, Brantford, Milton, London, and Toronto!. Each parade and park celebration was filled with love, solidarity, and lots of hugging! The energy and excitement of the crowds as we approached showed just how meaningful these events are for all of us.

At every event, we were greeted by new faces, and we welcomed many new volunteers to our FMHC family. Pride is about celebrating diversity, affirming 2SLGBTQIA+ identities, and pushing for a more inclusive and accepting society. It’s a time for joy, reflection, activism, and community-building—and that’s exactly what we did, rain or shine.

Milton and Haldimand/Norfolk were celebrated in the rain, but that didn’t dampen our spirits or our commitment to celebrating Pride. The rain only made the day more memorable and showed our resilience as a community.

We want to remind everyone that you don’t have to limit yourself to just one Pride parade—why not experience as many as possible? We encourage everyone to carpool and join us in different cities next year. There’s something truly special about seeing the diversity of Pride celebrations across Ontario and sharing in the joy that comes with each one.

Stay tuned for more updates and get ready to make 2025 even bigger!
